Workshops

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is offered to University staff and faculty who have regular dealings with staff and students.  The program is offered by the Canadian Mental Health Commission of Canada and their certified instructors.

Mental Health First Aid is the help given to someone developing a mental health problem or in the midst of a mental health crisis.  Similar to physical first aid training, Mental Health First Aid provides instruction to individuals and aids in developing their ability and confidence to offer basic first line mental health first aid to others when required.

Please email Organizational Health and Effectiveness for dates of the upcoming courses.

QPR Training QPR is a certified suicide prevention training program that provides community education and engagement in addressing suicide.  The program is offered by the Community Social Work Team.
